Terms of Business
Last updated 18 August 2026. These terms apply to everything bought through calderflint.group and to our advisory, digital, finance-introduction and capital services.
1. Who you are dealing with
Calder Flint Group, 64 Bridge Street, Manchester, M3 3BN (“Calder Flint”, “we”). Calder Flint Finance and Calder Flint Capital are trading names of the group. Contact hello@calderflint.group · 0161 570 1791.
2. What we are — and are not
We provide business management, consultancy and advisory services. We are not licensed insolvency practitioners, solicitors or accountants, and we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not provide regulated financial, investment, legal or insolvency advice. Where such advice is required we work alongside appropriately licensed professionals, whom you engage directly. Nothing we say or write is a guarantee of any outcome, funding, or result.
3. Strategy Call (£197 + VAT) and Fast Track (£1,500 + VAT)
Payment is taken in advance via Stripe; prices are shown excluding VAT, with VAT at 20% added as a separate line, and a VAT invoice is issued automatically. The Strategy Call is a 45-minute one-to-one call, offered within 24 hours of booking (working days; evenings by arrangement). A written summary follows within 24 hours of the call. The £197 fee is credited in full against the Emergency Diagnostic or Strategic Roadmap (£1,500 + VAT) if you proceed within 30 days. Fast Track bundles both; the diagnostic or roadmap is delivered within 48 hours of the call, subject to you providing the information requested. Fees are for expert advice and are not refundable. If on the call we conclude that we are not the right people to help, we tell you plainly and you still receive our view of the situation, what to do first and who you should be speaking to. You may move the call once at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice; a call missed without notice forfeits the fee. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you may have by law that cannot be excluded.
4. Retained advisory, interim roles and bespoke work
Scope, fees (from £2,500 + VAT per month), term and notice are set out in an engagement letter, which prevails over these terms where they differ. Invoices are payable within 14 days. We may suspend work while invoices are overdue.
5. Digital fixed-price products
Executive Summary (£350 + VAT), Company Deck (£750 + VAT), Pitch Deck & 3-Year Projections (£1,500 + VAT), Business Plan (£2,500 + VAT), Landing Page (from £750 + VAT) and Business Website (from £2,500 + VAT) are paid in advance and start with a briefing call. Delivery times run from the briefing call and receipt of your information. Each product includes one round of reasonable revisions. Fees are paid for expert work and are not refundable; if you decide before the briefing call not to proceed, the amount paid is held as a credit against any Calder Flint service for 12 months. Intellectual property in delivered work passes to you on full payment; we may reference the engagement in general terms unless you ask us not to.
6. Calder Flint Finance — introductions
We act as an introducer, not a lender. We introduce businesses to FCA-authorised lenders and credit brokers. Commission may be earned on successful introductions; you may ask us what commission is payable. There is no fee to you for an introduction. Any offer of finance is made by the lender on its own terms; we do not decide credit and cannot guarantee that finance will be offered. Applying for funding involves credit reference agency searches on the business and its directors, and a record of those searches is kept. We will tell you before any application is submitted.
7. Calder Flint Capital
Capital engagements are governed by a separate mandate letter setting out retainer, success fee and scope. Calder Flint Capital does not provide regulated investment advice; arranging of securities, bond or loan-note issues, and fund structures is carried out by appropriately authorised parties. Where we, or persons connected with us, may co-invest in or acquire a business we advise, we disclose this in writing beforehand and recommend independent advice.
8. Your responsibilities
You will give us accurate, complete and timely information, and you remain responsible for the decisions you take. Deadlines depend on your cooperation.
9. Liability
Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our total liability in respect of any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or losses arising from decisions taken by you or third parties.
10. Confidentiality and data
We keep your information confidential and use it as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.
11. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part is unenforceable the rest stands. We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your purchase applies.
