We get businesses funded. Fast.

£10k to £5m. Working capital placed and refinances secured for UK businesses.
Why the answer is different here
A credit score decides most applications. We make sure the business does.
“We have supported the Calder Flint founding team and their Investor Group with numerous transactions and our relationship extends back several years.”Praetura · UK SME Lending & Equity · c.£600m deployed
A credit file doesn’t explain a bad quarter, a lumpy debtor book, or the contract that changed everything. We do — because we’ve run businesses like yours and sat on the other side of the credit committee.
That is the difference between a form and an introduction. We profile the business against lender criteria, then take it to the lenders whose appetite genuinely fits — sector, stage, security, speed. Realistic options the same day, and the case put properly. Funding is placed from our Manchester office for businesses anywhere in the UK.
How it works
From two minutes to funded.
Nothing to dig out to get started, and nothing goes to a lender until you say so.
01
Tell us what you need
2 minutes
Amount, purpose, your company and turnover band, and a number to call. No documents, no bank statements, no accounts.
02
Nothing submitted without you
Same hour
We profile the business against lender criteria. Nothing is submitted to a lender until you ask us to.
03
Lender matching
Same day
Matched against 100+ UK lenders. Realistic options with indicative terms — not a long list to work through yourself.
04
Funded
Typically 24–48 hours
Typical for unsecured facilities. You pick the offer; we manage the paperwork and the lender through to drawdown.
Secured, asset and property facilities take longer — days rather than hours — because there is security to value.
What we fund
Every mainstream facility, and the ones most applications never reach.
From a VAT bill that landed at the wrong moment to the machine that doubles your capacity.
Unsecured Business Loans
No security over property. A decision in hours and, on a complete application, funds typically within 24–48.
Asset Finance
Plant, machinery, vehicles, equipment and technology — new purchases, or refinance of assets you already own.
Invoice Finance
Release the cash tied up in your debtor book — whole book or selective, with or without your customers knowing.
Merchant Cash Advances
A percentage of what you take, so repayment flexes with trade. Built for retail, hospitality and seasonal businesses.
Commercial Mortgages
Owner-occupied premises, investment property and portfolio refinance onto terms that reflect where the business is now.
Bridging Finance
For when timing is the whole deal — an auction purchase, a chain break, a completion that will not wait.
Also placed regularly: revolving credit facilities, VAT and corporation tax loans, and refinance of existing facilities onto better terms. Requirements above £5m, or ones that need equity or structure, route to Calder Flint Capital →

If the answer today is “not yet”
Declined, or not fundable today?
Most declined businesses aren’t bad businesses — something specific needs addressing first. Usually the HMRC position, a creditor pattern, the way the accounts were filed, or reporting a credit committee can’t read.
The Comeback Programme is three to six months of structured advisory to fix what is actually blocking the funding — then a re-approach to the market when the file is ready. It starts with a Strategy Call to work out which of those it is.
£236.40 inc. VAT · 45 minutes, one-to-one with a senior operator · credited in full against the Comeback Programme.
The programme
- Full diagnostic of why the lenders said no
- Creditor, HMRC and cashflow position rebuilt
- Management reporting a credit committee will accept
- Funding pack and lender presentation prepared by Calder Flint Digital
- Re-approach to the market when the file is ready
The people behind this division refinanced a £20m group with Praetura Commercial Finance while the incumbent lender was walking away — from inside the business, not from a desk. No outcome is promised; the work is to make the case a lender can say yes to.

Part of the group
Funding is rarely the whole answer.
Finance sits inside a five-division group, so when the money isn’t the problem — or isn’t enough — nobody hands you off.
When the pressure came first
HMRC arrears, creditor demands and cashflow stabilised — the work that makes a business fundable again.

Questions, answered.
Does it affect my credit score?
A credit search is part of applying for business funding. When you apply, credit reference agencies are searched on the business and its directors, and a record of that search is kept and can be seen by other lenders. We will always tell you before an application goes anywhere, and nothing is submitted without your say-so.
How fast can we have the money?
For unsecured facilities, a decision in principle often comes back the same day and drawdown is typically 24–48 hours from a complete application. Asset, invoice and property facilities take longer — days rather than hours — because there is security to value. No lender decision is ever certain, and we will tell you early if the timescale you need is unrealistic.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. There is no client fee and no charge for the match. We are paid a commission by the lender when a facility draws down, and that is disclosed to you before you commit to anything. We act as an introducer, not a lender.
What if I’ve been declined?
A decline usually points at something specific — the HMRC position, a creditor pattern, how the accounts were filed — rather than at the business itself. We will tell you what we think it is. If it is quick to address we go back to the market; if it needs work, the Comeback Programme runs three to six months of advisory and then re-approaches with a file that stands up.
What do I need to provide?
To get matched: the amount, what it is for, which company, your turnover band and a number to call. Nothing else. Once a lender is interested they will usually want the last three to six months of business bank statements and your most recent accounts — we tell you exactly what is needed and handle the submission.
Do you fund start-ups?
Honestly, most lenders want six to twelve months of trading before they will look at a business, and we would rather say so than take you round the houses. If you are earlier than that, Calder Flint Digital builds the plan and the financial model a lender or investor will actually read, and Growth advises on getting to the point where funding is realistic.
